Since Kinja has such good SEO, we should make it a thing on Oppo to mess with these machine-learning bots.

Like, for example, we could require any sentence with “Miata” also to include “super heavy” or “weighty.” We make it a rule on Oppo, just like how if you say “VTEC” on the internet, you must follow it with “...yo!”

We do this enough, and any bots that web-scrape to inform this kind of fake listing will always understand Miatas to be the heaviest of cars. Someday Mazda’s marketing team may pick up on the joke too, and then build a really heavy Miata.

My friend has a 996, I don’t mind the turbos and above as much but the regular Carreras look kind of bad. I told him the blob lights are actually like the GT1 so they should be cool? My problem with the looks is more than the lights, the whole thing just looks kind of cheap to me.

I like the 996 (though I’ve never driven one) - but overall it does seem like the “most hated” Porsche.

As crazy as it is, I think the lights are the primary reason that the 996 is unliked compared to other 911s. The other thing is the IMS issues. I’ve never found the original 996 Carrera lights to be that ugly, but the Turbo/refresh lights are better.  Look at it from the side, though, and it is classic 911.

I don’t know, something just bugs me about it, the 993 isn’t bad but the 964 is the last one I would want. My dad bought an SC the year I was born, 78, I have never really been into Porsches.
